Missions:
Mission Panama 2012

Peru 2011
During their 10 day stay in Peru, our high school students spent their mornings building homes in an area where people are still homeless following the 2007 earthquake. In the afternoons, they were reaching out to children through Awana children's programs.
As a Christian school, we want our students to apply what they learn and experience being the hands and feet of Christ in Montreal and abroad. Students shared the Good News (Gospel) through street ministry, skits, music, dance and testimonies.
We partnered with several organizations in order to help those in need. Our team joined a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) team already working in Ica. We also partnered with HPIC (Health Partners International Canada) and MMI (Medical Ministries International in Toronto) to distribute medical supplies to local clinics. Several greater Montreal area churches rallied to support our trip.
In preparation for their mission trip, the students have had to raise their own funds through private sponsorships, spaghetti dinners, bagging in supermarkets, cookie dough and bake sales. Our whole school community (kindergarten to high school) has participated in this endeavor.
Funds raised not only paid for travel expenses but were also used to purchase materials to build 3 homes, bring medical cases worth $10,000, bring children's' programs for local churches, cartoon bibles in Spanish, games, school supplies and toys.
Last year our students went to Panama and came back with a new perspective on life. This year's trip to Peru also transformed students' lives and inspired them to continue helping those in need.

Montreal 2011
As our international team worked in Peru, a student team prepared lunches and distributed them to homeless people in downtown Montreal. They spent 2 days serving at La Corde, a youth drop-in center helping with the lunch program, helping with renovations and interacting with the children. They also had an afternoon tea with seniors residing at Manoir Kirkland. We were very thankful for the participating churches and pastors who helped us organize this mission week.
Student testimonies:
My experience this week was that we assume people on the street and other places aren't visible, but
they are. They're people just like us. They can be poor or rich but can still be full of life. - Kweinor
I had fun with the La Corde kids. They touched my heart with what they are going through. - Naala
This experience was an amazing opportunity to just realize our surroundings and serve God with open
hearts. I love Jesus a lot. He is at work in our city. - Tori
Durant cette semaine Dieu a ouvert mes yeux et je vois les sans-abris d'un il différent. Lowrie
It was a great time of character building and growth. It was cool to see God's hand in everything we did.
- Calum
